PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Grover Beach Lodge and Resort is a property on California State Park property adjacent to the City of Grover Beach. Pacifica Companies entered into a joint agreement between the State of California and the City of Grover Beach as the developer for property. McCullough Landscape Architecture was engaged early in the process to assist in the preparation of the Conceptual Landscape Master Plan, the City of Grover Beach Local Coastal program major amendment, and to assist in processing of the project through the California Coastal Commission. The project was unanimously approved by the Coastal Commission in 2013 and is currently entitled for development.

The Development includes a 290-room resort hotel, a conference center, an equestrian staging facility, upgrades to the adjacent golf course club house, a public park and picnic site with facilities, pool and spa area, a riparian (creek) enhancement area, and a public access path and boardwalk system. The property is on approximately 7-1/2 acres and is nestled in the dunes along the central coast of California.
