MELANIE LORIA
Marketing + Business Development Manager
Melanie joins McCullough Landscape Architecture as the Marketing and Business Development Manager, with several years of marketing experience in the Architectural Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. As an east coast native, she studied business management and marketing in Boston. She began her career by joining a dynamic marketing & communications team at Sasaki Design where she assisted the firm’s rebrand, designed marketing collateral, and submitted projects for National and International award competitions. She has a passion for creative design, project storytelling, and connecting with the community. She integrated herself within the Boston design community and was an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). She also worked at a small construction management firm in Boston, and later made the move to California.
Melanie also has experience in higher education, leading the marketing department for NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego, empowering the future generation of architects and designers. She worked closely with students and all departments of the university to host events and bring new students in, while maintaining the brand and legacy of the university.
During her early studies, Melanie did a semester of college in Barcelona, Spain where she studied international marketing, submersed herself in several different cultures and discovered her passion for photography. A little known fact is she has done photoshoots for friends, weddings, loves to capture nature and can spend hours editing. She is also addicted to all things interior décor! In her free time, you can find her exploring the west coast, skiing, attending live music concerts or picking up new skills such as surfing.
