Read MoreOur holiday celebrations are even more enjoyable this year as we are blessed to welcome Difan Chen as a new member of our firm.
After receiving her master’s degree in landscape architecture from Cornell University, Difan worked in Texas and Florida on a variety of projects, from big parks to small residences. Her enjoyment of traveling enhances her broad view of landscape architecture. “I love that people actually benefit from the landscape design even without noticing that it’s elaborately designed, either ecologically or practically.” Her experience before joining MLA will enrich our company in the coming years.
Difan enjoys cooking, particularly Chinese food, and loves going to movies. On weekends, she takes advantage of San Diego’s sunshine and our beautiful coastal scenery.
We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving full of joy shared with your families
and friends. Today we want to say thank you in appreciation of your business,
trust and loyalty with us.

David is a frequent contributor to UrbDeZine San Diego, recently wrote a provocative perspective on how San Diego’s convention center should set the pace for the future of convention centers around the country.
“Earlier this year, a hosted panel of local decision makers was brought together to discuss the future of San Diego. Much of the conversation was around the convention center expansion. If you’ve been following the local news, you’ve noticed much of the dialog is about the benefits of a larger meeting space. The conversation is often about the need for more space to keep Comic-Con in San Diego or the heavy regional impact, the tax revenues, or the attention it all brings to our city…”
McCullough Landscape Architecture, which provides the highest-quality landscape planning and design, recently announced the appointment of Priyanka Malik to the role of Associate Landscape Designer. With a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and the recipient of the Excellence Award in Design Implementation and Technology from the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU, Priyanka comes to us with extensive experience in designing for large hospitality projects.
"I see myself working towards establishing ecological connections in a built habitat to create an environmentally healthy space."
Her personal vision aligns with our mission to create user-oriented, sophisticated and environmentally sustainable projects. Catherine McCullough, President and CEO agrees: “We are excited to have Priyanka join our family. Her joy and passion for creating aesthetic landscapes will complement our collaborative approach to design.”
In her spare time, Priyanka practices yoga and is an abstract painter...and if you’re lucky, you might catch her singing in the car while driving. Help us welcome Priyanka by stopping by our downtown East Village office to say hello.
