PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Located on a prominent corner in the Village of La Jolla (Girard Ave. and Wall St.) this commercial retail center caters to the La Jolla social class and tourists alike. The developer purchased a dated and struggling center and started from the ground up, increasing leasable space and creating better connectivity to the surrounding community. McCullough worked with architects out of the Los Angeles area, Perkins + Will to create a place of liveliness and vibrance. McCullough’s part in this was in the selection of tile work, hand selected pottery, furniture, lighting, and contextually appropriate plant material.
