PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

As the landscape architect on the Seaside Ridge project, our role will be crucial in creating a vibrant and sustainable community that complements the new rental housing development in the City of Del Mar. The project's primary goal is to provide much-needed affordable housing for the local community, including households with low-, very low-, and extremely low-income, while also ensuring equitable access to coastal resources.

McCullough is designing outdoor spaces that enhance the overall quality of life for residents. This includes creating green spaces, community gardens, playgrounds, and outdoor gathering spaces that encourage social interaction and promote a sense of community.

In addition, we will need to consider the unique coastal environment and design landscapes that are resilient to the region's climatic conditions. Our team will incorporate sustainable practices that conserve water, reduce energy use, and minimize the impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

The Seaside Ridge project is an opportunity to create a new community that not only provides affordable housing but also contributes to the social and environmental well-being of the City of Del Mar.
