A Day Outside: How We Celebrated Earth Day as a Team
Last week, our team stepped away from our desks and into nature to celebrate Earth Day in the way that feels most natural to us, outside.
As landscape architects, our connection to the environment is present throughout our work. Taking time together in nature offered a simple reminder of the landscapes that inform and shape what we do every day.
The day was intentionally uncomplicated. Time spent walking, talking, and being present outdoors as a team.
Earth Day began in 1970, following growing public concern over environmental impacts, including the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill. More than 50 years later, it continues to serve as a reminder of environmental responsibility.
While Earth Day shows up in many forms for our team every day, from design work to community impact, this moment was about slowing down, being present in nature, and spending time together outside of the office.
